Shri Sant Bhagwan Baba Sevabhavi Sanstha is deeply committed to uplifting marginalized sections of society, especially women who face social and economic hardships. Recognizing the struggles of widows and abandoned women in rural areas, the Sanstha initiated a special program focused on Training and Education for Self-Reliance.
The primary objective of this initiative was to empower these women by providing them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to lead independent and dignified lives. Many women, after losing their spouses or being abandoned, face severe economic insecurity and social exclusion. The Sanstha’s program aimed to change this narrative by opening new avenues for their growth and self-sufficiency.
Through structured training sessions, the organization offered courses in tailoring, handicrafts, food processing, basic computer skills, and other income-generating activities. Educational workshops were also conducted to enhance their literacy levels, financial management skills, and awareness about their legal rights.
In addition to skill training, motivational programs were organized to rebuild their self-esteem and encourage them to envision a better future for themselves and their children. Women were also guided on how to start small businesses, join self-help groups (SHGs), and access microfinance facilities.
The impact of this initiative has been truly transformative. Many women who once faced uncertainty and isolation are now self-employed, financially independent, and playing an active role in their communities. They have not only improved their own lives but have also become role models, inspiring other women to pursue empowerment and self-reliance.
